Welcome to Rippo (“the Service”), provided by the Rippo team (“we”). By registering for or using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You must provide your real date of birth at registration; accounts found to be under the age threshold may be terminated.

2. Accounts

• Sign-in is via Google or Apple. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• An anonymous account not linked to Google/Apple cannot be recovered after logout and its data is treated as abandoned.
• One account per person; multiple accounts may not be used to manipulate reviews, Battles or rewards.

3. Your Content

• You retain the rights to content you upload (task photos, text, chat messages, posts — “User Content”).
• You grant us a licence to store, reproduce, display and transmit your User Content as needed to operate the Service (e.g. showing it to your friends, Battle teammates or Explore viewers). The licence ends when the content or account is deleted, except for content already lawfully received by other users (such as chat messages).
• You represent that your User Content does not infringe any third party’s rights (including copyright, likeness and privacy).

4. Community Guidelines (Zero Tolerance)

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You may not post or send:

• pornographic, obscene or sexually exploitative content;
• violent, gory or self-harm content, or content encouraging dangerous acts;
• hate speech, discrimination, harassment, bullying, threats or doxxing;
• illegal content (drugs, fraud, gambling, etc.) or incitement to break the law;
• spam, advertising, malicious links or scams;
• impersonation, disinformation, or disclosure of others’ personal data without consent.

We may remove violating content, restrict features or terminate violating accounts without prior notice. User reports are acted on within 24 hours; serious violations result in permanent bans.

5. Reporting & Blocking

You can report objectionable content or users in-app, and block any user. Blocked users cannot interact with you.

6. Virtual Items

• Virtual items in the Service (water drops, stickers, themes) are for in-Service use only, have no cash value, and may not be transferred, redeemed for money or traded outside the Service.
• We may adjust how virtual items are obtained, priced or function for balancing and operational reasons.
• Virtual items lapse without compensation when an account is deleted or terminated.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Accessing or scraping the Service with automated tools, or interfering with its operation;
• reverse engineering the Service or circumventing security measures;
• exploiting bugs for unfair gain (please report bugs to us instead).

8. Intellectual Property

The Service’s software, interface design, artwork (including the cat-fish characters), text and trademarks belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

9. Changes & Termination

We may add to, modify or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. If you violate these terms we may suspend or terminate your account. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting your account in-app.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is”; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. User Content is the sole responsibility of its author and does not represent our views.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Disputes shall be submitted to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

12. Amendments

We may update these terms from time to time; significant changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
